What are the options for overnight accommodation?

Stay at Redeemer! Redeemer would love to host you in a townhouse or apartment. Townhouses have 8 beds with 6 beds/3 rooms upstairs and additional bedroom downstairs — perfect for the youth leaders or chaperones. The apartments vary in size with 8, 6, or 4 beds and also host 2 beds per room. Overnight accommodation at Redeemer will open mid-February so gather your group and come back here to register!

Stay nearby! There are many hotels nearby and Mohawk College sometimes has available rentals as well.

Do chaperones or youth leaders need to register?

Yes, please register.

What happened to the church registration option?

This year all attendees are asked to register individually by purchasing a conference ticket. Parents/guardians must complete the waiver for all youth under 18 but churches will not be required to pre-register. All youth wishing to stay overnight at Redeemer University must arrange and purchase their overnight accommodation via their youth leader to ensure adherence to the church's youth protection policy.

Can a youth attend without a chaperone?

Conference attendance is open to high school youth through to age 20. Overnight accommodation is to be arranged by church leadership and should follow guidelines provided by the church’s youth protection policy.

Can I come if I am over 20 years of age?

Anyone over 20 who would like to attend needs to come as a youth chaperone, associated with a church that is bringing youth.

As a chaperone, where will I stay? How do I register? Do I have to pay?

Chaperones do need to register and pay for the conference. It is up to the church to ensure sufficient chaperone ratios are met, so check in with the leader of your group before registering.

Youth leaders/chaperones are responsible for booking overnight accommodation for their group and will be responsible for following their church’s guidelines for this type of event.

Will there be food?

Yes. Your ticket price includes three full meals on Saturday and two snack vouchers that can be used on Redeemer’s campus (at Tim Horton’s, the bookstore and a Friday night concession stand). Dinner on Friday is NOT included so plan accordingly.

Snacks can also be purchased on-site and all of Redeemer’s accommodations come fully equipped with kitchens.

I have special dietary requirements. Who do I talk to?

Please indicate these accommodations in your conference registration. You may also contact the event organizers at events@ca.thegospelcoalition if you need to share further details.

What should I bring?

Clothing for one day, pyjamas, basic toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, etc.), a bible and a journal.

If you’re hoping to participate in the Worship Jam activity, you may also want to bring an instrument. If you’re hoping to participate in a sports activity, you may want to bring an extra pair of athletic clothes and/or shoes. If you’d like to purchase additional snacks on-site, you may want to bring some cash.

If I stay in Redeemer’s accommodations, what can I expect?
